Development of wind farm projects

Kallista Energy Group has a whole team dedicated to the development of wind farms, right from the design of the project through to the repowering, extension or decommissioning.  We work in close collaboration with local stakeholders to develop the most suitable project for the territory.

Designing the best project

The success of an electricity generation project, i.e. its integration into the local community and its ultimate economic viability, is determined right from its development phase. We adopt a comprehensive approach upstream to identify the most appropriate sites, file the authorisation applications and bring together the different parties involved at a local level.

For wind farms, we develop projects from start to finish. We also work on optimising existing wind farms by extending or repowering them in order to obtain the most from the site’s wind potential.

In addition, we only use local independent specialists to realise environmental impact studies that enable us to determine the appropriateness and the quality of the project.

Working together to achieve success together

Kallista Energy is the single point of contact for local authorities: our project manager during the development phase or our local operator throughout the park’s operation. This proximity ensures easy access to the company throughout the site’s lifetime.

We invite the general public to visit our power plants on World Wind Day, around June 15 every year, to promote energy sources that have the least impact on the environment.

Working together to succeed

We implement a transparent consultation process to involve elected representatives, local players, industrialists, residents, administrations… at every stage of the project.

Information sessions, project diaries and other ad hoc tools are regularly offered to keep stakeholders informed of the progress of wind and solar projects. We pay close attention to comments from local stakeholders, and incorporate those that improve the project, while respecting technical, regulatory and ethical constraints.

Our priority: to be at the heart of development in local communities

Every year in France, the Kallista Energy group pays around 3 million euros in local taxes to the communes and communities hosting its wind and solar farms. These benefits enable the communities concerned to maintain or improve the quality of life of their residents in a context of shrinking government subsidies. Decentralized, competitive power generation remains an asset for regional dynamism
