The Brachy wind farm, located in the Seine-Maritime department of Normandy, was first commissioned in 2007.
Renewal of the wind farm began in September 2023 to optimize energy production. One year later, in September 2024, the new wind farm is now operational!
Still comprising five wind turbines, the park now benefits from the latest-generation machines, enabling a significant increase in electricity production.
What are the advantages of the new wind farm?
Thanks to the new turbines, the total output of the wind farm has risen from 12.5 MW to 15 MW. As a result, annual production is set to rise by around 80%, to around 48,000 MWh per year. The wind farm will thus be able to supply the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of 21,720 inhabitants.
